Bronzer Based Spray Tans
Classic/Overnight Spray Tan Aftercare

Rinse Timing Matters
Leave your spray tan on for the full recommended development time (typically 8–12 hours, or overnight). This allows the color to fully develop for the best, longest-lasting results.

Initial Rinse
Use lukewarm water and your hands only to gently guide the bronzer off your skin. Rinse for about 2–5 minutes and do not exceed 5 minutes. Do not use soap or lotion during your first rinse. You may resume normal showering and moisturizing after your first rinse. It’s normal for the cosmetic bronzer to wash off during this rinse. Don’t be alarmed if it looks like your color is fading your tan will continue to develop and settle over the next 24 hours.

Skincare
Keep it simple for the first few days: use only a gentle face wash and moisturizer. The face tends to fade faster than the body.
(only if we spray tanned your face.)
Deodorant
You may apply deodorant on after 3 hours (spray deodorant only) or after your first rinse. However, some formulas can cause fading or lighter areas under the arms due to certain ingredients.
Working Out
Avoid working out after your initial rinse. Sweat can cause uneven fading or unwanted tan lines. It’s best to wait a full 24 hours.
Clothing Guidelines
Please wear loose, dark clothing until you complete your initial rinse. This helps prevent the bronzer from rubbing off or staining your clothing while your tan develops. Avoid trying on new or tight-fitting clothing during this time. After your first rinse, you may wear your normal clothing.
DO NOT WEAR YOUR WATCH !!! if you don't want those tan lines.

Bedding
Once your tan is rinsed off it should not transfer at all unless you sweat at night. Dark or old sheets is recommended. If you plan to sleep in your tan you need stay cover: long sleeve shirt and pants to avoid skin to skin contact.

Avoid Skin Contact During Development
Do not touch your skin while your tan is developing. The DHA can transfer to your palms and fingertips, causing staining that is very difficult to remove.
No touching your skin.
After your initial rinse, you’re okay to touch your skin as the DHA and bronzer will have been rinsed off.
Be mindful of your body positioning during development:
-
Avoid crossing your legs or feet
-
Do not rest skin against skin
-
Avoid folding your arms or bending them for long periods
-
Keep arms and legs slightly apart and relaxed
Keeping your skin separated will help ensure an even, flawless result.

Product Information
Your aftercare products do matter. The products you use will directly affect how your tan develops, fades, and how long it lasts.
Please avoid certain brands and ingredients, as they can lead to uneven fading or shorten the life of your tan.
Friendly Note: If you choose to use drugstore products, please understand we are not responsible for the outcome of your tan, including color or fading. Swimming Guidelines
You may go swimming, but please wait 24 hours after your initial rinse before any water exposure.
We recommend using a waterproof sunscreen lotion to help protect your tan from excessive water exposure. Too much prolonged water contact can cause faster fading. Please keep in mind that chlorine and salt water are not spray tan–friendly and can affect your results.

After Swimming Care
Each time you get out of the water, gently pat your skin dry. Do not air dry, as this can cause uneven fading and deterioration of your tan.
At the end of the day, take a gentle soap and water rinse to remove chlorine or salt water from your skin.

Sunscreen Application
Reapply sunscreen every 90 minutes to 2 hours when exposed to sun and water.
Use a waterproof sunscreen only.
Recommended spray sunscreens include:
-
Banana Boat Mineral Sunscreen
-
Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen
-
Hello Bello Mineral Sunscreen
If your Sunscreen is a lotion any brand will do

Important Note
Please understand that swimming in the ocean, pool, lake, or water parks can cause premature fading. Spray tans are not 100% waterproof they sit on the top layer of the skin, so excess water exposure can break down the tan more quickly.
